We can produce extrusions varying in degree
of wall thickness from .003" to .025" with a nominal size of
I.D. (i.e. 0.40"). By maintaining a constant I.D. for a
given durometer of resin, a qualitative comparison of flexibility vs.
rigidity can be determined based on the change of wall thickness.
When using Pebax® resins varying the range
of durometers while maintaining uniform dimensions (i.e. 0.030" I.D.
by 0.050" O.D.) you allow for a qualitative comparison of stiffness,
flexibility, etc. to be made between the various grades for a given size
of tube.
